What you will be doing
The Benefits Communications Specialist plays a pivotal role in assisting the Benefits team in the creation and distribution of information to our associates. This role acts as a project leader, responsible for coordinating activities with multiple partners (internal and external), developing benefits content, managing the benefits communications editorial calendar, and ensuring all communication pieces are delivered on-time. This is a key strategy role on the benefits team.
This role will be based near one of our divisional offices: Phoenix, AZ; Pleasanton, CA; Boise, ID; Plano, TX.
Main responsibilities
Lead editorial benefits communications calendar, and coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure communications are reviewed according to set timeline.
Lead weekly benefits communications meeting and develop agenda; keep team members on task to ensure deadlines are met.
Partner with benefits team members to develop communications and distribution strategy. Projects may vary, from monthly educational webinars to new hire presentations, to larger projects, such as annual enrollment communications. Tasks may vary from developing original content to reviewing and editing drafts from internal sources and communication vendors.
Continually review all benefits communications areas that may need updating; work with internal and external partners to make updates.
Partner with vendors to access communications resources and capabilities; partner with SMEs to determine how resources may fit into overall strategy.
Manage and share postings to internal benefits Teams page, promoting communications, new topics of interest, and education opportunities.
Own and maintain ongoing communications tracking log.
Own and manage “ALEX”, Jellyvision benefits tool.
Lead other ad-hoc projects and perform other responsibilities as required.
We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:
Bachelor’s degree required. Relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
2-4 years’ benefits communications experience.
Outstanding project management skills, excellent communicator, strong sense of urgency, and ability to quickly prioritize.
