As a Sr. Benefits Analyst, you will play a key role in building and implementing the benefits strategy and philosophy that will impact Workday’s most important asset -- our people. Your role will directly shape the positioning in providing competitive and innovative benefit programs. Your domain will include health, retirement, financial, income protection, workers compensation, time away and disability and leave programs.

This role reports to the Director of US Benefits and partners with the International Benefits team to deliver best in class benefit programs. Manage vendors and programs to develop and deliver engaging and cost effective benefits.
Partner with consultants and internal team to develop Workday’s overall benefit strategy.
Evaluate benefit trends, and identifying new and innovative offerings. Develop and recommend new or modified plans, programs and policies as needed.
Manage benefits offering to ensure effective alignment to Workday’s strategic direction.
Develop a thorough understanding of the Workday culture and translate this knowledge into thoughtful benefits program recommendations and identification of opportunities.
Partner cross functionally within the organization and externally with vendor partners to effectively develop and execute programs.
Manage relationships with benefits consultant, advisors, carriers and vendors, ensuring high performance standards are met or exceeded.
Manage and develop Request for Proposals (RPFs) and implement new programs and vendors
Provide guidance to Benefits team, shared services, and third-party vendors on benefits and industry trends.
Establish strong partnerships with Shared Services, Legal, Payroll, Finance and other internal stakeholders; lead cross-functional projects as needed for the execution of benefits strategies and programs.
Proactively identify program improvement opportunities and address needed corrections.
Develop cost models, forecast analyses and plan design recommendations on a variety of US and International benefit programs.
Partner with internal Benefits COE and Delivery team members to develop the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment processes including plan and program design and modeling.
Ensure benefit designs, programs and vendor partnerships comply with federal, state, and local laws and requirements.
Participate in ongoing Workday product releases and testing.
Participate in research and analysis for policies and programs.
Participate in professional benefits organizations and networking groups to understand trends in our industry.
Advanced benefits strategy and market trends knowledge. Including core health and welfare benefit programs, point solutions, ancillary offerings and industry specific trends.
Deep understanding of self-funded health plans and PBM relationships.
Thorough understanding of the vendor landscape for health and welfare coverages.
Five to Seven years minimum in an US and Canada benefits program management or benefits consulting with a mid/large size company.
Strong financial and analytical skills, including the ability to present plan experience data and financial projections.
Ability to synthesize data and roll up into executive level presentations in order to present recommendations and gain alignment.
Experience developing onsite and near-site health clinic partnerships
Proven track record of effective project management and strategic execution.
Exhibit an employee/customer mind sight when designing programs and ensuring our vendor partners are meeting critical needs.
Ability to partner cross functionally within the organization and externally with vendor partners effectively. Passion for an incredible employee experience.
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, including the development of presentations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field (ideally with Human Resource, benefits, and/or compensation concentration) preferred.
