As a Benefits Healthcare Strategy Assistant Director, you'll be at the heart of that goal, providing comprehensive healthcare benefit services.
The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and strategic individual to fill the role of Assistant Director, Benefits Healthcare Strategy. This position will be pivotal in developing, executing, communicating, and maintaining EY’s healthcare benefits strategy for all employees. The role will involve collaboration with Talent, Finance, and external advisors to ensure we offer competitive, cost-effective, and high-value healthcare benefits.
Your key responsibilities
Develop, execute, and manage the firm's healthcare benefits strategy
Conduct regular benchmarking and trend analysis to ensure the firm's healthcare packages remain competitive and meet the needs of the workforce
Manage ongoing relationships with health plan providers, advisors, and other benefits-related vendors to optimize coverage, costs, and performance
Lead benefits-related projects and initiatives aimed at improving health and wellbeing of employees
Collaborate with Talent and Finance teams to budget and forecast health benefits expenses
Evaluate healthcare legislation, ensuring all policies and practices are compliant with regulatory standards
Maintain plan documentation and summary plan descriptions, in collaboration with benefits counsel
Conduct employee surveys to measure satisfaction levels with the existing healthcare benefits and identify areas for improvement
Represent benefits team on merger and acquisition initiatives
Qualify for this role, you must have
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in benefits management, particularly healthcare strategy
Proficient knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, including the Affordable Care Act, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and related benefits legislation
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into strategic plans
Excellent negotiation and relationship-management skills
Strong project management skills and detail-oriented mindset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate complex benefits information to a diverse audience
Ideally, you’ll also have
Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation (or subdesignation)

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $101,900 to $184,900. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $122,300 to $210,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
