What to Expect
The Benefits Operations Manager is part of the core Benefits Team that manages the design, execution and maintenance of benefit programs. The Benefits Operations Manager will develop efficient and simple processes, evaluate systems, and evolve policies and programs. This individual should be highly motivated, analytical and solution driven.
What You’ll Do
Designing, implementing, and leading wellbeing and mental health programs and access to quality care – including their various associated service solutions, awareness, and promotion efforts to ensure they meet quality, cost and employee satisfaction objectives and the organization's overall long term care strategy
Developing, implementing, and maintaining a benefits communication and education program and plan to enhance employee understanding of benefit programs.
Make recommendations to improve and streamline processes while ensuring quality standards are maintained
Partner with U.S. and Global health strategy partners and provide operational insight in the design of new and existing programs
Partner with internal partners (Legal, Finance, Payroll, HR Business Partners, HR Systems) and external partners to improve awareness of programs and employee experience
Analyze, implement, and maintain on-site, near site and virtual health and wellness partners
Participate in benefit surveys and stay up to date on best practices and trends in Employee Benefits. Recommends plan and policy changes based on trends
Help manage Annual Benefit Open Enrollment Process
Keep current on internal and external trends, business challenges, and priorities and share with internal teams and health partners
What You’ll Bring
Minimum 8 years of experience managing multi-state benefits administration in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Actuarial Science, Accounting, Business or related field; CBP or CEBS certification preferred
Minimum 5 years of direct people management experience
Experience with Benefits Data Base systems
Experience handling Benefits Administration for 10,000+ Lives
Experience with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, Section 125, ACA
Superior analytical skills and functional knowledge of Human Resources, payroll, etc.
Collaborative business style
Strong computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent time management, presentation, planning skills
Vendor Management experience including managing Requests for Proposal (RFP) and vendor selection process
Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Process focused and knowledge of end-to-end operations
Evidence of exceptional ability
