Job Description
The Benefits Consultant is a member of the Global Health and Wellness Team, focused on work in the US, and reports to the Manager of US Benefits Operations. This role requires experience in benefits administration, data and compliance processes, and the ability to make recommendations for operational improvements. The role works very closely with internal and external partners to ensure efficient plan administration. A great fit to the team is forward thinking, can solve complex problems, and is able to comfortably work with the plan participants and their families where appropriate.

Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of retiree insurance programs: medical plans, life insurance, and health reimbursement accounts.
Complete data updates and reporting for executive supplemental life insurance policies.
Manage benefits administration processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and partner with customers to implement automation/enhancements.
Participate in vendor calls on service delivery and report on designated deliverables. Coordinate with outsourced benefits administration vendor to ensure benefits data is managed accurately.
Research escalated member issues and coordinate resolution with vendors. Process contribution adjustments where applicable and update member accounts.
Complete compliance filings and notifications. Manage benefits data delivery for payroll tax reporting.
Facilitate and validate data from/to vendors and consultants to support benefits budget and accounting.
Process invoices and wires for timely payments to vendors. Process deposits from vendors and post funds to appropriate accounts.
Complete nondiscrimination testing with vendor for dependent care flexible spending accounts.
Validate data for medical plan 1095 forms before distribution and submission.
Complete deliverables to support annual ERISA audit. Partner with vendors to validate data due to auditors.
Respond to requests for information from auditors, state agencies, and Legal.
Complete annual 5500 filing in collaboration with outsourced benefits administration vendor.
Assist in developing plan document amendments and revising summary plan descriptions. Coordinate deliverables with Legal and vendors.
Support ad-hoc benefits projects on behalf of the Global Health and Wellness Team as necessary.
Stay apprised of industry trends, legal and compliance updates, and apply gained knowledge to designated processes.
Qualifications:
Required:
5+ years of experience in benefits administration.
Proven vendor management and relationship skills.
Project management experience.
Experience utilizing data and identifying trends.
Proficient with Microsoft applications.
Preferred:
Previous experience with retiree insurance plans.
Knowledge of benefit plans financial processes.
Knowledge of benefits compliance and audits.
Previous experience with Workday and reporting.

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Salary range is expected to be between
$68,475.00 USD - $114,125.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
